Law Changing Lives

Our Problem

Thousands of Amerasian children in Okinawa, Japan have no access to legal service advocates who can ensure they receive benefits they are entitled to under U.S. law.  As a result, for Amerasian children here, born to an Asian mother and American father, lack of child support is the norm when the father does not reside with the child.   Without competent representation,  U.S. citizenship, free military healthcare and other Department of Defense (“DOD”) and U.S. social service benefits are also inaccessible to Amerasian children.
